Tooling Transfer Project Checklist:

  1. Deco starts with understanding the project parameters, such as, schedule and cost.
  2. Review of the tools to be transferred.  This can be done with sharing of various types of information.
    • Tooling drawings or size of the tool
    • Tool photos
    • Number of Cavities
    • If needed, on-site audits
  3. When the tools arrive, Deco Products will “size” the fit of the tools to one of Deco’s 88 zinc die casting machines and existing tooling holders or fixtures for adaptation.
  4. Tooling can be modified or adapted to, with new componentry in Deco’s on-site tool room, if needed.
  5. Tooling can be sampled in an expedited, but also production representative way.  With Deco’s many machines, we have capacity to quickly sample the tooling without interruption of other scheduled production jobs.
  6. Deco has on-site QA lab to conduct 1st article inspections and layouts as part of the production part approval process (PPAPs).
  7. Samples sent to the customer for review and approval.
